Thoughtful community cultivation.
Intentional influencer strategy.
Joyful content creation.

Former classroom teacher turned game developer, marketeer, and organizer, with 8+ years of experience dedicated to developing sustainable and thoughtful gaming studios and communities.

Over the last decade, I’ve launched twelve titles as a community manager, communications manager, producer, and senior influencer manager. These projects include critically acclaimed games Pacific Drive, Ultros, Tchia, Sifu, Scorn, Garden Story, and more, reaching millions of players.

In addition to leading global influencer and community campaigns, my role as advisor and pitch reviewer at Kowloon Nights allowed me insight into the game pitching and funding process. In my role there, I recommended studios for project funding and provided insight and recommendations to signed teams throughout their development.

Outside of my work in game marketing, influencer strategy, community development, and publishing, I create content using the handle Kimchica. The primary goal for my content creation is to highlight games with unique mechanics, intriguing worlds, and themes that encourage self-reflection, kindness, and hope. In conjunction with that, I founded Geeks & Grounds, a monthly game club (which includes a podcast and newsletter) where the community plays — and discusses — titles together. I am is also a co-host of The Indie Council, a podcast covering indie games and the industry.
